The purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners to function effectively as Marketing Coordinators within a wide range of organisational contexts. Marketing Coordinators play a vital support role in modern marketing teams by coordinating campaigns, managing communication channels, supporting sales initiatives, administering customer relationship systems, and handling marketing-related administrative and financial processes.
As organisations increasingly rely on structured marketing strategies, data-driven decision-making, and integrated communication platforms, the demand for skilled marketing professionals continues to grow. This qualification addresses this demand by equipping learners with both theoretical knowledge and applied workplace competence to support organisational marketing objectives in a professional and ethical manner.
Standard Entry Requirements
Certified copy of South African ID or valid passport
Certified copy of Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Access Pathway
Applicants who do not meet the formal academic entry requirements may apply through the RPL process.
RPL Eligibility
Individuals without a Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification (may be required to complete a bridging module)
Applicants with relevant workplace experience in marketing, sales, advertising, or related fields
Required Documentation for RPL
(All documents must be certified within the last 3 months)
Certified copy of ID or Passport
Detailed CV outlining relevant experience (minimum 3 years)
Employer reference letter confirming roles and duration of employment
Certificates or proof of informal or non-formal training (short courses, workshops, bootcamps)
Proof of payment: Application Fee + RPL Fee (R250 + R1,500 = R1,750)
Note: RPL assessment and any required bridging module are mandatory for applicants using this access route.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to:

The qualification also provides recognised occupational learning that may support career advancement, entrepreneurial opportunities, or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) toward further studies, subject to the entry requirements and assessment criteria of the relevant qualification or institution.
Assessment is conducted through internal formative and summative assessments, practical evaluations, and structured workplace-based assessments in line with QCTO requirements. Learners are also required to complete an External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) as prescribed by the QCTO.
Upon successful completion of all modules and assessments, learners will be awarded the Occupational Qualification: Marketing Coordinator (NQF Level 5).
