Purpose

Projects succeed when clear thinking is combined with disciplined execution. This skills programme develops applied competence in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects in modern hybrid delivery environments. It introduces structured project management practices alongside the responsible and governed use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support productivity, accuracy, and communication.

Learners are trained to translate a project brief into a concise charter, structure work into deliverables and tasks, set realistic time and cost expectations, manage stakeholders through focused communication, and control risks, issues, changes, and decisions. The programme also introduces single-screen dashboard reporting and disciplined project closure, including lessons learned and early benefits capture.

This skills programme forms part of the Occupational Qualification: Project Manager (NQF Level 5). The credits achieved may contribute towards further learning through formal credit accumulation, transfer, and/or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), in line with QCTO and CGTS policies.
