The CGTS Bursary helps committed applicants gain a nationally registered qualification while building a real portfolio of work experience. Funding focuses on tuition (delivered via our online LMS) and practical learning that leads to employability. Bursary is awarded on merit, verified financial need, and study-readiness. Where possible, CGTS also facilitates work placement, so you graduate with work-based learning and extensive experience in marketing field.
Occupational Certificate: Marketing Coordinator (SAQA ID: 118706 | NQF Level: 5 | Credits: 175)
Registered on the Occupational Qualifications Sub-framework (OQSF) with Services SETA as the Assessment Quality Partner (AQP). The purpose of this qualification is to prepare you to function as a Marketing Coordinator who manages the marketing sales teams, supports campaigns management, manages CRM activities, and administers marketing metrics.
Covers: full tuition fee for the qualification (online facilitation, resources, formative assessments, logbook verification).
Work placement facilitation: CGTS sources/approves a host; if placements are tight, you'll complete a CGTS-approved simulated/community brief that still meets assessment rules.
Monthly work-placement support (where applicable): if a funder/host provides a stipend, it's confirmed in your award letter. (Stipends are not guaranteed and depend on host/funder.)
Excludes: devices, data, transport, accommodation, re-assessment or re-registration fees, personal expenses.
Covers: 70% of tuition; 30% co-pay by student/sponsor (payment plans available).

Minimum entry: NQF 4 (Matric or equivalent).
Study setup (compulsory): reliable Wi-Fi/internet and a laptop/PC (mobile-only isn't sufficient for labs and dashboards).
Time commitment: weekly online activities, artefact submissions, and a verified workplace/simulated logbook.
Copy of SA ID (or copy of passport with valid permit for 50% tier), proof of residence (≤3 months).
Matric certificate or highest qualification.
Household income proof/affidavit.
